Stainless steel compact shaft for well type Hydro-Hex 1600
In wells, groundwater is pumped upwards from deeper, water-bearing layers using submersible motor pumps. A well system basically consists of a filter sec- tion in the water-bearing layer, the barrier pipe for upward sealing and a well head with pump, riser and a well-cover housing, named well shaft.
Design of the well shaft
The well head prevents the ingress of external water into the well and supports the riser with the well pump. The hexagonal well shaft is the optimal installation room for the upper well-cover housing. Designed for smaller wells, the pre-assembled stainless-steel (1.4162) shaft contains a complete set of well equipment.
The shaft casing is made of folded and fully welded stainless-steel sheeting. To reinforce it, flat material blanks are welded all around the outside. A DN 600 assembly opening with dome (H = 800 mm) and shaft cover for pump assembly and a DN 800 access opening with dome (H = 800 mm) and shaft cover with ventilation cap are fully welded to the upper cover. The base is made of an anti-slip stud plate with integrated pump sump and welded-in well head. Bottom with reinforcement pipes and external fastening holes for fixing to concrete prepared as an anti-buoyancy measure. The complete well shaft is internally and externally gas metal arc welded, pickled and passivated.
